Drivers who competed in the Arkansas Trucking Championships

Central States drivers compete in Arkansas Trucking Championships

On June 23-24, five Central States Manufacturing drivers competed at the Arkansas Trucking Championships in Rogers, Arkansas.

It was the first time that Central States participated in arguably the biggest trucking event in the country.

Patrick Wright, Ryan Wright, Dane Daniel, Mike Wood and Michael Rigsby competed in two days of events that included a written exam, truck inspection test and a driving skills competition.

Our driver employee-owners displayed their skills in the Flatbed division, one of nine classes with over 150 of the best drivers from around the state.

Competing side by side with the best that Arkansas has to offer was a great experience for our drivers who have their eyes set on the 2024 championships with a much better idea of what to expect.

“Sometimes the greatest lessons come from falling short of your expectations,” said Logistics Director Matt Couch. “Our team is grateful for the experience, and we’re using it to fuel our growth. Next year, we’ll come back as a force to be reckoned with.”

A special thank you to Katie Thomason and Kelcie Sonnier of Arkansas Trucking for helping make our first year in the competition enjoyable and easy.
